A new prestigious collaboration for Marie’s Corner!
The Belgian specialist in tailor-made sofas has been involved in the furnishing of the brand new Club House of the Royal Waterloo Golf Club, in collaboration with the interior design firm DF & Associates. Thanks to its furniture, Marie’s Corner allows the 2,000 members of the prestigious golf club to relax and socialise in a comfortable and elegant environment. The furniture includes sofas, armchairs, footstools, chairs and tables bearing the unique signature of the Belgian brand. After successfully furnishing the clubhouses of Naxhelet (Wanze), Royal Club des Fagnes (Spa) and The National (Sterrebeek), Marie’s Corner is proud to be the new partner of the Royal Waterloo Golf Club. This prestigious golf club has been awarded the title of “Best Golf Club in the World” by the European Commission in 2007. The furniture includes sofas, armchairs, footstools, chairs and tables bearing the unique signature of the Belgian brand. Waterloo Golf Club is a family-friendly course that delights over 2,000 members in sumptuous green surroundings. The pieces commissioned include iconic models such as the Sonoma chair or the Virginia sofa, classic models such as the Jackson or the Carmel, but also novelties such as the Ashton armchair and the Trinity footstools.
“We also played with different materials: fabric, leather, buckle and tweed. It’s varied, but designed in the same tone to create a coherent whole”, explains Alain Friant.
The result is a soft, almost monochrome atmosphere, oscillating between greys and yellows, allowing to harmonize with the green of the golfcourse through the large windows.
